When I moved in, 5 years ago, I was very excited to come here. And after that time I feel even better about that decision. I love our neighborhood, with 2 convenient bus lines and a small but lively retail section within easy walking distance. I have made good friends among the tenants here and we enjoy walking the beautiful side streets, with some up and down hills, to keep us healthy. Or eat out or buy grocery items at the last minute. Our second floor deck gives us a beautiful view of the Oakland hills and chairs and couches to curl up with a good book. Our wonderful maintenance man, Rudy, works 6 days a week and can fix and install ANYTHING. We have a small laundry room with several machines and I have never had to wait to wash my clothes. Our Community Room includes bookshelves with a diverse collection of reading material. Another bookshelf holds games and jigsaw puzzles. A neighbor and I frequently get together to “puzzle”. We can even make ourselves a cup of coffee or tea while we do so. Our manager has begun scheduling events for we tenants to increase our feeling of living in a community, whether it’s an evening of jazz or a fun movie. My apartment is small but SO cosy and I feel blessed to be retired and spending time in it. Even after 5 years, every time I walk through our security gate, into our beautiful courtyard, I feel so happy to be coming home here.

An AC Transit bus stop is steps away and offers the "V" Transbay bus to and from San Francisco's Salesforce Transit Center. Or you can ride the 33 bus line up to Montclair shopping district or to Downtown Oakland to catch BART at 19th Street station.

“ It was almost six years ago that I moved into Park Glenview Apartments after living in my family home for about 48 years. My apartment has been so comforting after all those years of caring for a family home. I chose an apartment on the third floor where I could look out at the Redwood trees, see all the way to Emeryville and Marin county, and when looking left see San Francisco. A special treat frequently when in the laundry room or on the second floor deck is seeing deer grazing at the back of the building. For me, the location is centrally located for shopping and near to my church. Our community room is spacious and most welcoming, including books and comfortable chairs for reading and furniture for meetings and social gatherings. I and friends enjoy working on jigsaw puzzles. The atmosphere encourages friendships. And I so enjoy the occasional movie, coffee hour, fitness class, etc. My apartment is welcoming. I appreciate the arched doorways, the rugs, and the efficiently organized space. The maintenance staff have been so very helpful and always cheerful. I am so glad that I found Park Glenview!”
